Couture, Cleo, 74, of Big Spring, died on Monday, December 25, 2000, in a Lubbock hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 27, 2000, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Randy Hardman, pastor of First Baptist Church in Gail, Texas, officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Denver, Colorado. She was born on July 16, 1926 in Monte Vista, Colorado and married Charles Couture on February 18, 1950 in Raton, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1977. Mrs. Couture lived in Colorado most of her life, and moved to Big Spring two years ago to be near her daughter. She worked for Eastman Co., formerly Capital Office Supply, for many years before retiring. She was a Christian. Survivors include one daughter, Terri Buchanan of Borden County, Texas; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Gracie Willden of Farmington, New Mexico; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. The family suggests memorials to: Borden County EMS, Borden County Courthouse, Gail, Texas 79738.
