Christopher Todd Burt, 49, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 2:00PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. Christopher was born on September 27, 1972 to Patricia and James Burt in Kermit, Texas. He grew up in Monahans, Texas. Christopher attended the Monahans public school system. Chris’ youth brimmed with action. Weekends were spent saddled to a motocross bike or ATV, where he endeavored to defy gravity, flying across the Sandhills of West Texas. As time passed, Chris learned to take his time and temper the fast paced life of a pipeline welder by preparing unrivaled culinary creations and kicking back with friends on the lake at Del Rio, seeking a bigger fish for his hook in earnest.
Chris had a truly unique way of working his way into your heart. He was a true gentleman with unrivaled manners, yet managed to be so relatable that you would swear him to be a lifelong friend minutes into your first conversation. He was adored by his family in equal measure to his own. He also deeply loved canine companions, mourning the loss of his beloved dog Garrett until the day he passed away.
He is survived by his sons Parker and Travis Burt. His sisters, Camille Bryant (Jimmy Bryant) and Cindy Armistead (John Dooley) nephews Christopher Lance Reynolds and Coby Taylor Reynolds ( Sylwia Reynolds) one niece Chyenne Michelle Billings and one great niece Madison Taylor.
He is preceded in death by his parents Patricia Ann Taylor Burt and James Leroy Burt. His maternal grandparents Clinton Clyde Taylor and Molly Jewel Kincy Taylor and paternal grandparents Roy Washington Burt and Iva Lorene Price Burt.
