Riordan, V. Christine, 84, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, March 1, 2001, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 3, 2001, at Mt. Olive Memorial Park with Dr. Ed Williamson, pastor of the First United Methodist Church and Rev. Michael King, pastor of Bakers Chapel AME Church, officiating. She was born on December 22, 1916 in Winchell, Texas and married Cecil V. Riordan on May 29, 1935 in Brownwood, Texas. Mrs. Riordon moved to Big Spring in 1960 from Mineral Wells. She worked in the canteen at the Big Spring State Hospital, retiring in 1987. Her favorite pet was her dog, Gonzo. She was a loving wife, mother and full time grandmother. Mrs. Riordan was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Rainbow Girls. Survivors include her husband, Cecil V. Riordan of Big Spring; two daughters and sons-in-law, Priscilla and Tad Corbet of Las Vegas, Nevada and Beverly and Tip Miller of Big Spring; one son, Stephen Paul Riordan of Big Spring; a grandson, Bradley Garrison and wife, Tammy, of Big Spring; one great-granddaughter, Brittney Griffin; one sister, Arlene Alcorn of Odessa; two brothers, Luther Vogel and wife, Blackie, of Brownwood and H. E. Vogel and wife, Dorothy Nell, of Fort Worth; five sisters-in-law, Jewel Mathews of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Clara Riordan of Wichita Falls, Edlean Vogel of Maypearl, Erlean Vogel of Brownwood and Examae Vogel of San Saba; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and six brothers. The family suggests memorials to: American Heart Association, c/o Katricia Carson, P.O.
