Charlotte Marie Hipp, 79, of Midland, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Graveside Service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Blackwell Cemetery in Blackwell, Texas.
Charlotte was born on May 11, 1941 to Geraldine and Curtis Wilson in Sweetwater, Texas. Charlotte loved her family and family get togethers that enabled spending time visiting with them. Big Christmas gatherings, Thanksgivings and family birthday celebrations were always special. She also loved to travel, from cross country camping trips to Caribbean cruises to long distance international visits to see family. Before her husband Jimmy passed in 2010, many wonderful years were spent while he was still working, and then more in retirement as they pulled a 5th wheel camper all over the USA. Trips to Thailand, Scotland and France were enjoyed in the past decade. Memories of a Caribbean cruise in 2009 with a large group of family from multiple generations holds special memories for her family.
Longtime friends may know her as an employee at Levi Strauss manufacturing, or later at Frosts Bread Store. Many will also know Charlotte from her many happy years as a member of Kelview Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by her four children, Barry Hipp and wife Renea, Jettie Holland and husband Gordon, Tammy Pardue and husband Mike, Debbie King and husband David, and her added daughter Ann King. The eleven Grandchildren include Dusty Lann and husband Rainey, Crystal Stafford, Corey Hipp and wife Andrea, Jason Holland and wife Jessica, Amber Knapp and husband Devin, Zac Holland and wife Caroline, Tiffany Corson and husband Anthony, Joshua Holland and wife Kristen, Cody King and wife Mattie, Bethany Campbell and husband Trent, Raymond King, Devin King and wife Charley Ann King. Charlotte was also blessed with 23 great-grandchildren and had the promise of an expected great-great grandchild for later this year.
Charlotte is also survived by her brothers Bill Wilson and wife Larue, Larry Wilson and wife Tina, Payton Wilson and wife Debbie, sister-in-law Emma Lou Wagoner and husband Harley, and sister-in-law Barbara Hipp. She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Hipp, her parents Geraldine and Curtis Wilson, and her brother-in-law Tommy Hipp.
A faithful lonely Wife is reunited with her husband. A Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother is ‘gone home’. A follower of Jesus Christ is redeemed and rewarded, and in our Savior’s loving care.
