Charles R. Lytle, 78, of Midland, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017, in Dallas, TX. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Kelview Heights Baptist Church in Midland.Charles was born on April 22, 1938 to Orpha and Harvey Lytle in Ray City, OK. He graduated from Maud High, attended OSU 1957-1958, and East Central University 1958-1959. His hobbies included playing golf with friends from Kelview Heights. He worked in oil field sales most of his life. Charlie was always a happy-go-lucky kind of guy when he was younger, always happy and easy-going. He enjoyed family dinners and going fishing. As he got older he spent his summers at his sister’s house working in the oil field. As a young man he remained a happy person enjoying family, fishing and hunting. Charlie knew what he wanted from life and married his true love and began raising a family. As he matured, his life took on a maturity in the Lord, and he dearly loved serving his Savior. His life stood for God, his family, and his friends giving his best to all three.He is survived by his wife, Sue Lytle of Midland, TX; daughter, Tammy Foster of Marion, IL; son, Kevin Lytle and wife, Priscilla of Humble, TX; daughter, Cindy Ferguson and husband, Jon of Bruce, MS; brother, Dewey Lytle and wife, Sharon of Beaumont, TX; grandson, Jimmy Winstead of Midland, TX; grandson, Charlie Winstead of San Angelo, TX; grandson, Terence Lytle of Hanover, MD; grandchildren, Jace, Daylan and Isabel Lytle of Humble, TX; and four great grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, Orpha and Harvey Lytle; sister, Naomi Jones; brothers, Lewis, Gerald, Robert, David, Eldon, Roland, Owen and Vernon Lytle.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be donated to Baylor University Hospital (Heart and Vascular).Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
