Charles Lee Goodson, 71, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. A viewing will be held from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory. Graveside Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Charlie was born on December 16, 1950 in Kansas City, MO to Hubert and Josephine Goodson. Charlie graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and went on to further his education at Texas Tech University where he was a proud member of ATO Fraternity. He graduated from Texas Tech with a bachelor’s degree in business. He then spent many years working in the oil and gas industry until his retirement. He was a very kind and generous man and loved his family and friends with everything he had. Charlie loved to play golf in his younger years, as well as watching and attending golf tournaments. He loved to sight see and attend sporting events while traveling. In most recent years, Charlie was involved with the Senior Center and Casa de Amigos. He learned to dance and had the time of his life while doing this. There wasn’t a day that passed that he didn’t have a positive outlook and a big smile on his face.
Charlie is survived by his sister DruAnn Boler and husband Larry, sister-in-law Karen Goodson, nephew Greg Boler, wife Tricia and their children, nieces Mandy Dempsey, husband Buck and their children, Robin Boler and her children and Loretta Welch, husband Brad and their children.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Josephine Goodson, his brother, George Goodson and one great nephew.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards Hospice of Midland, Meals on Wheels, Midland Medical Lodge, family, and friends.
