Lifelong Midland resident Carolyn Tefteller passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021. She was 80 years old.
Carolyn Kay Collier was born October 26, 1941 in McCamey, Texas to ValCee and Opal Collier. Carolyn grew up in Midland, Texas and graduated from Midland High School in 1959.
In 1968, Carolyn married Farrest Tefteller and lived in Midland, Texas until her death. Together, they owned and operated Tefteller Inc. for over 25 years. In retirement, they loved to travel across the country in their RV until Farrest’s death in 2001. Carolyn was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Midland. She was an active volunteer at Midland Memorial Hospital in the Pink Ladies as well as March of Dimes and Meals On Wheels. She loved to play games with her friends and family especially her grandchildren. Carolyn was generous with her time and her money always willing to help others in need. She will be greatly missed.
Survived by son Paul Tefteller and wife Lindy of Midland, Texas, step-daughter Teresa Ellis and husband Lonnie of Lubbock, Texas, step-son Ron Tefteller and wife Neena of San Antonio, Texas, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents ValCee and Opal Collier, her sister Jefflyn Roberts, her brother Gary Collier as well as her husband Farrest Tefteller.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Midland, March of Dimes or Meals on Wheels.
She will be available for viewing on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 8:00am – 5:00pm at Nalley Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory. Graveside service will be at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:00am on December 30, 2021.
