*Media Obituary*Sue Rutherford (Title Obit)Carol Sue Rutherford, 71, of Midland passed away on January 5, 2007 at the Hospice Inpatient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital . A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel at Manor Park with Rev. Dick Spencer officiating. The memorial will be preceded by a private gravesite service. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 8, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 3800 N. Big Spring St. in Midland.Sue was born in Stamford, Texas on July 7, 1935 to Wm. E. (Lige) Prewit and Verna Yarbro Prewit. Sue graduated from Stamford High School, Stamford, Texas, in 1953, and married John William Rutherford in 1955. She resided in Colorado City, Rule, Big Spring, Monahans, and Midland, Texas. She retired as an employee of the City of Midland in 1996. Sue was a resident of the Manor Park community and enjoyed doing volunteer work for Alzheimer's patients. Survivors include three sons, Jeff Rutherford of Fairview, Texas, and his wife Patricia; John S. Rutherford of Midland and his wife Deanna; and Jim Rutherford of Sharpsburg Georgia, and his wife Rebecca; seven grandchildren, Brian Rutherford and his wife Julie, Lauren Rutherford, Will Rutherford, Kaden Rutherford, Noah Rutherford, Kennedy Rutherford, and Jacob Rutherford. Sue is also survived by brothers and sisters Jane Lloyd of Graham, Texas and her husband Bill; Faye Stubbs of San Angelo, Texas; Bob Prewit of Silver City, New Mexico and his wife Dorothy; Verna Davis of Big Spring, Texas and her husband Don Finkenbinder; Jim Prewit of West Columbia, Texas and wife Linda; Carl Prewit of Corpus Christi, Texas and wife Janice; two sister-in-laws, Doris Prewit, of Winters, Texas and Edith Prewit of Hobbs, New Mexico; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, William M (Bill) Prewit, E.E. (Gene) Prewit, Donald L. (Don) Prewit, and Tommy J.
