Buster Haggard, 69, of Stanton, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2001, in a Big Spring hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 1, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Tom Craiker and Bill Welsh, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, Texas. He was born on July 18, 1932, the youngest son of Norvell and Lillian Haggard, in Martin County, Texas. Buster married Mildred Allred on December 24, 1949 in Stanton, Texas. Buster was active in farming in Martin County for over 50 years. He and Mildred had just recently moved from their Haggard farm to Stanton, Texas. Buster was active in various organizations including serving on the Grady School Board. He also served on the board of directors for Sweetwater PCA and then later as a director for Texas PCA. He recently had been recognized for being with PCA for 50 years. He was active in the Martin County Farm Bureau and the Martin County Freshwater District. Buster and Mildred also helped many young men. Their home was affectionately known as the,
