Buster F. McCullough went to be with his Lord and savior on October 31, 2024 at the age of 83. He was born on May 24, 1941 in Seminole, Texas (Gaines County) to Buster and Grace McCullough. Buster was raised in Seminole, Texas where he attended school. Upon graduation he enlisted in the US Navy and served our country for 6 years with an Honorable Discharge on October 30, 1967. He married Gay Willis on January 3, 1967 and they had their son Scott McCullough in 1968. His favorite things to do were going to the lake with family, being around his friends and loved working at Bill Williams Tire for 56 years. He was a member of the American Legion of Midland and the VFW POST 7208 where he would go and talk about all the good times.
Buster is survived by his son Scott McCullough of Houston, TX, his granddaughter and pride and joy Cheyanne Partlow of Midland, TX and his only great grandson Landon Partlow, a brother Waylon McCullough and sisters Tony Taylor and Brenda Danley, and sister-in-law Ruth McCullough. He also had so many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and lots of friends.
Buster is preceded in death by his parents Buster and Grace McCullough, his brother Jack McCullough, his great nephew Zachary Henson, his brother-in-law Allen Taylor, and Donna Westbrook
A visitation will be Monday, November 11, 2024 from 6-8pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00am, Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards Midland Memorial hospital, especially the critical care unit and Starlink team and Dr PK Patel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
Buster was a very proud veteran and loved his country. The family would like everyone to join them at the American Legion, 501 Veterans Airpark Ln Midland, TX after the service for lunch.
