Buddy Merle Bradley passed from this life into the arms of his “Sweet Jesus”, as he always called him, at his home on January 31, 2022.
Buddy was born in Brownwood, TX on March 27, 1951 to Clifford and Merle Bradley. The family moved to Midland three months later where Buddy spent the rest of his life. Buddy’s Dad taught him the art of welding which became his occupation. Buddy worked for his dad at Midway and later in the family business. Buddy was also a contract welder for different companies, lastly Warren Cat and Hanover. After putting down his welding rods, he went to work for Mike and Cheryl Snow at Bethlehem Glass. Later on, Buddy was blessed to go to work for Andy Pearce at AP Manufacturing where he made several new dear friends.
Preceding Buddy in death are his Parents, Brothers Brad and Miron Dale, Sister and Brother-in-law June and JH Greenlee, nephew Alan Dale Greenlee, Sister Captola Brown and his Father-in-law Ray McNeill. Also, his two best friends David Benton and Mike Snow.
Those left to cherish Buddy’s memory are his wife of 21 years and 9 months, Martha, daughter and son-in-law Cassie and Rick Anundson, grandchildren Griffin and Lila Anundson, Mother-in-law Helen Tonde, Brothers-in-law, Larry McNeill and Bill McNeill (Liz). Nephews, Jay Greenlee (Karen) and Cleon Brown (Denise), niece M.K. Engelstad (Dana), nieces Brenda Wallace, Elaine Greenlee, Shannon Gripkey (Les), Aislinn McNeill and many other cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
Buddy enjoyed spending time at the lake, rafting down the Rio Grande in Santa Elena Canyon, snorkeling at Bakers Crossing on the Guadalupe River and going to the boat races in Marble Falls. Later in life, his passion became riding his Road King “Lucille” then his Ultra Classic “Ole Blue” on which he and Martha had many adventures and many more on his own with his riding buds.
He and Martha enjoyed cruising around Midland to see what was new and what was being torn down, often following emergency vehicles being B&M news hounds!
Buddy was happy and proud to be at the birth of his grandson Griffin as they shared a birthday and celebrated together every year. Although they only got to share this earth for two and a half years, he had a very special bond with his granddaughter Lila who always felt at home with her “G”
Buddy was loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed.
He loved adventures and is now on the greatest one of his life!
I know you are riding high and free and I will see you on the other side my “Tomcat”
