Brenda Buchanan Sherrod

Brenda Buchanan Sherrod, 45, of Fort Worth, died on Friday, October 5, 2001, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 9, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Victor Cruz, officiating. She was born on September 26, 1956 in Big Spring, Texas and married Greg Sherrod on January 27, 1980 in Big Spring, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1994. She loved horseracing and the Dallas Stars. She also loved her grandchildren very much. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Joey Oglethorpe of Arlington; a special friend, Rick Long of Fort Worth; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tammy and Bunky Atkinson of Big Spring and Nancy and Mike Bond of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one brother, Donnie Clay Buchanan of Abilene; one nephew, Billy Buchanan and wife, Sherri of Arlington; two grandchildren, Shelby Dare Franklin and Logan Taylor Franklin both of Arlington. She was also preceded in death by her father, Clay Buchanan; her mother, Emma Jean Davidson and one sister, Cynthia Pitts.
