Brenda was born on June 18, 1940 to Dorothy and Myrl Heald in Midland, TX. She attended Midland High School and was a model for a short while before marrying her greatest love Bill Jobe. She always said Bill was her own personal “John Wayne”, and he was. She & Bill both worked for Sears in Midland TX in the 60’s. Brenda ran a successful employment agency in Midland TX in the 70’s, she & Bill owned and operated a successful Property Damage Appraisers franchise in Corpus Christi TX in the 80’s & 90’s, and she was an independent insurance agent the last years of her professional career. Her family was her main focus all of her life, raising & nurturing three brilliant children for over 61 years. She loved to cook & serve others in the family & community & she loved to spread the good news of Jesus Christ & the Holy Trinity in word, thought & deed. She is most known to those who love her, for her completely unconditional love & immediate forgiveness of any grievance & for sacrificing her life & body for all generations of her family. She never met a stranger, loved people, history & socializing with family & friends. In the last few years her great grand children were her greatest source of joy. The books of John, Psalms & Proverbs were her favorite books of the bible. She loved the word of God & teaching it to every generation of her family. A few verses she quoted often were the lords prayer ” Our Father who is in heaven hallowed be your name…”, John 3:16 “for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son…”; the Golden Rule Luke 6:31 “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”; Romans 8:38-39 “nothing can separate you from the love of God, neither life nor death…” (all paraphrased).
As her sister n law said, & it resonates with all who knew her “This is certainly not goodbye but we will see you soon…thank you for showing me grace and mercy, love and forgiveness, the same way our heavenly father shows us every day. You fought the good fight and you have won your race. I will miss your beautiful smile but I know it is radiating around the throne of our Father today…”, a perfect depiction of Brenda’s life, character & eternal life. She indeed always had a beautiful smile no matter the situation or person & we know her joyous smile is now eternal in our creators presence.
