Bradford LeRoy Fivecoat lost his battle with cancer Friday, March 5, 2021, in Odessa, Texas.
He was born on April 23, 1948, in Sheridan, Wyoming. He graduated from Shoshoni High School, Shoshoni, Wyoming, in 1966. After working on his grandmother, Macyle Smith’s ranch in Arvada, Wyoming, he joined the Navy in May 1968. Before leaving for Vietnam for a year, he married Lennetta Shoumaker in Buffalo, Wyoming, on May 11, 1968. The Navy took them from coast to coast.
After his four years of service, Brad went to work for Schlumberger as a field mechanic in Gillette, Wyoming. Beginning April 1, 1974, he went to work for the Permian Corporation. In 1992, after the sale of the company to the Scurlock Permian Corporation, Brad was transferred to Midland, Texas. During the next several years the company changed owners many times, ending with Plains All American. Brad retired after 46 years of service on August 31, 2020, as a Regulatory Compliance Officer.
His first love was the mountains. He loved camping and traveling, especially with his special friend, his granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Lennetta of Midland, Texas; two sons, Ryan and Raymond; his daughter-in-law Stacey, and his granddaughter Abby, all of Midland. He is also survived by his three sisters, Cheryl Doughty, Shannon Fivecoat, and Mary Hammers, and two nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents Merle and Mary Catherine Fivecoat.
As was his wish, no funeral service will be held. He is to be cremated and returned back to Wyoming.
