Bonnie Dru Teel Seago

Bonnie Dru Teel Seago died June 23, 2021 in Midland, TX.

She was born April 26, 1930 in Liberal, KS, but was raised in Hooker, OK on the Teel Sunshine Dairy.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Tennie Irene Teel, brothers Jerry Teel and Dean Teel, and sister Carolyn Henderson, and by her husband JB Seago.

Bonnie married JB Seago of Perryton, TX on Aug 27, 1950. They lived in Stillwater, OK until JB graduated from Oklahoma A&M; then lived in Spavinaw and Beaver, OK before moving to Rugby and then Fessenden, ND. They next moved to Deer Lodge and then Polson, MT where they resided for many years. Following the death of her husband, Bonnie moved to Helena, MT, and then to Midland, TX to be with family.

Bonnie loved the Lord and was active in church, helping establish new churches in both Deer Lodge and Polson, MT. Her home was always open to college kids serving as summer missionaries to the Polson area – and she was known for her fried chicken, white rolls, and chocolate chip cookies.

In high school she was involved in band, choir, and basketball. But it was her love of music that she continued – as a pianist, soloist, church choir director; and for many years she gave voice and piano lessons. She was also a 4-H leader for many years.

Bonnie and JB lived a life full of the outdoors – hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the mountains were their passions. Introducing their grandkids to the outdoors was one of the biggest joys of their lives.

Bonnie is survived by daughter Lela Kaufman, Midland, TX; son Cas and wife Barbara of Powell, WY; son Jeff and wife Marilee of Carlisle, PA; and son Stan and wife Lauri of Windsor, CO; her brothers Bill Teel of Waco, TX and Pete Teel of College Station, TX; her sisters-in-law Vena Weathers of Stillwater, OK and Betty Keiffer of Enid, OK; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Surviving as well are 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1, soon to be born, great-great-grandson.

Interment will be in August 2021 at Lake View Cemetery, Polson, MT with a private family graveside service.
