Bobby Lee Busbee, 56, of Midland was called to heaven after a sudden illness, Saturday, June 4, 2011.Bobby was born on November 6, 1954 in Midland to Bob and Clara Busbee. In 1973 Bobby graduated from Midland High School. Four years later on June 11, 1977, he married the love of his life and best Friend, Pam Strickland, in Midland. From this very special love a son Cody and daughter Lindsay were born.Bobby was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Pam of 34 years; his son Cody of Midland; his daughter and son-in-law, Lindsay and Chris Haltom of Edmond, OK. His grandson Trenton Haltom, who from the time of his birth was Grandpa's best Buddy and partner in crime. He is also survived by his sister, Cheryl Lackey and three brothers, Billy Wayne, Larry Don and Steve Busbee.Bobby loved hunting, fishing, camping and floating the Frio River with his family and friends. He always put his family and others first. Bobby enjoyed working around the house while trying to complete Pam's "honey do" list.Bobby was employed for the past 21+ years at Bill Williams Tire Center and was respected by his co-workers and clients. Bobby's children learned from his strong sense of character to always do the right thing. His lighthearted attitude and hard working nature will be missed and is something his children will carry on and cherish.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be made to the Bobby Busbee Medical Fund, c/o Community National Bank, 601 E Florida, Midland, TX 79701, Attention: Lyndia Benton.Bobby will be in state for viewing at the funeral home all day Wednesday, June 8, 2011. The family is hosting a gathering at their home in Midland at 5:00 pm, Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Stonegate Fellowship Church with Rev. Myron Unruh, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.Pallbearers will be Jeff Hatfield, Clayton White, Jeff Munn, Craig Edwards, Tim Blair and Randy Henson.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
