He married Reba Meek August 31, 1952 in Big Spring. She preceded him in death July 25, 2002.Bob graduated from London High School in 1946. He served in the United States Navy for four years and had worked for Cosden Oil and Chemical for over 25 years, retiring in 1977. Bob enjoyed woodcarving, making knives and guns.He was a member of the Circuit Rider Cowboy Church, Staked Plains Lodge #598 A. F. & A. M, the Lubbock Scottish Rite, and the Knights Templar.Survivors include one daughter, Linda K. Kennedy; one son, George Michael Kennedy and wife, Cynthia all of Big Spring; one sister, Dorene Najera; three brothers, T. L. Kennedy and wife, Rexie Jeane, Benson Kennedy and wife, Barbara, and Hoyce Wayne Kennedy and wife, Thelma; two sisters-in-law, Jolene Starrak and Carol Meek; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was also preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Betty Stewart, Durah Van Evra, and Janie Brady; two sisters-in-law Jaun Valiquette and Meda Cunningham; and one brother-in-law, Hollis Meek.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Scottish Rite Learning Center of West Texas, 1101 70th St., Lubbock, Texas 79412 or to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, 2222 Wellborn St., Dallas, Texas 75219 or www.scottishritehospital.org .Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
