Billy Turner, 65 of Midland, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017, in Big Spring, Texas. Viewing will be at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland from 8:00 am – 9:00 pm on Thursday, June 29, 2017. Funeral services will be at Mid-Cities Community Church at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 30, 2017.Billy was born on July 17, 1951 in Missouri to Elvis and Rosie (Burns) Turner. Billy was a great man with an even better sense of humor. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially when it allowed him to tease his grandchildren and joke around with his friends. Billy was a happy go-lucky type of person who could get along with anyone. He looked forward to his morning coffee, liked listening to music, and enjoyed spending his time outdoors. His spare time was usually occupied by camping and fishing. He was also a lover of baseball and everyone who knew Billy knew his favorite team was the St. Louis Cardinals. Billy was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and friend that will be deeply missed by all that knew him.He is survived by 4 children; 2 step-children; 8 siblings; numerous grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.He is preceded in death by his parents, two siblings and a niece.The family would like to express their gratitude towards the staff of Scenic Mountain Medical Center and the many friends and extended family members that have reached out during this difficult time.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help cover funeral expenses at https://www.gofundme.com/billy-turner-funeral.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
