Billy Brooks (Bill) Phillips passed away on September 27, 2021 at his home in Midland, Texas. He was born on April 21, 1929 in Sayre, Oklahoma. Bill graduated from Choctaw High School in 1947, attended Frank Phillips Junior College and worked for Bovaird Supply in Borger, Texas. He met Yvonne Perkins on a blind date in 1950 and they were married December 3, 1952.
He was in the army from December, 1950 to December, 1952 during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan.
Bill returned to work for Bovaird and later went to work for Beacon Supply in Pampa, Texas. After working for Beacon in Pampa, Texas, Farmington, New Mexico and Odessa and Midland, Texas for over 30 years, he started his own business – Bill Phillips Pipe Sales in Midland, Texas in 1988 and operated that until his retirement in 2015.
Bill was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church for many years and served as an Elder and Treasurer. After Trinity closed, he joined Grace Presbyterian Church.
Bill is predeceased by his parents. He was an only child. He is survived by Yvonne Phillips, his wife of 68 years and numerous cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Grace Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
