Billie Nichols, 83, of Coahoma, died on Thursday, January 9, 2003, in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, January 13, 2003, at the College Park Church of God, Big Spring, with Rev. Eugene Ballard, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on August 2, 1919 in Sabana, Texas and married LeRoy Nichols on July 26, 1952 in Abilene, Texas. Billie came to Coahoma in September 1965 from Snyder. She and her husband owned and operated West Texas Tool Company of Coahoma from 1965 to 1986. She was a retired LVN. Billie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was a full time Christian. She was a member of College Park Church of God where she served as Church Clerk for 20 years, retiring in July 1986. She also taught Sunday School and worked in Ladies Ministry. Survivors include her husband, LeRoy Nichols of Coahoma; three daughters and one son-in-law, Ginny Byrd of Lubbock, Janeece Greco of Brooklyn, New York and Penny and Jimmy Binion of Coahoma; five grandchildren, David Green and Donna Koonce both of Snyder, Denise Jorgensen of Lubbock, B. J. Greco of Austin and Stephen Binion of Coahoma and seven great grandchildren. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff at Mountain View Lodge for the loving care given to Billie and the family.
