Billie Jean (Wright) Robinson, age 86 of Big Spring passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023. She will lie in-state from 9am until 8pm, Thursday, March 16, 2023. A Graveside service will be held at 11am, Friday, March 17, 2023 at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel with Eddie Pitchford officiating.
She was born May 12, 1936 in Menard, TX to parents Thomas Melton Wright Sr. and Frances Lovina (Slay) Wright. Billie was a long time resident of Howard County, was a Christian and member of Coahoma Church of Christ. She loved her church family and was an encouragement to many. She retired from Coahoma ISD in 1996 after 21 years of service. She enjoyed being outside doing yard work and loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Billie Jean is survived by her two sons James Robinson of Tulsa, OK, and Patric Robinson and wife (Sherry) of Sand Springs, TX. She was known as Granny R by her seven grandchildren; Amy Byington and husband (Ryan) of Tulsa, OK; Tessa Williamson and fiancé (Travis McKiski) of Sand Springs, TX; Bradley Robinson and wife (Kerry) of Banchory, UK; Lauren Robinson and fiancé (Jeremy Singer) of Tulsa, OK; Tobi Ruiz and husband (Tanner) of Bedford, TX; Kailee Robinson of Aberdeen, Scotland; and Tara Robinson of Abilene, TX; eight great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Luther Wright, Thomas Wright Jr., and Charles (Bud) Wright.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Coahoma Church of Christ, or your favorite charity.
