Benita Ann Bustamante

Benita Ann Bustamante, age 42, of Odessa passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 5, 2021. The viewing will be on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 12:00pm-9:00pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00am at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel.

Benita was born on September 25, 1978 in Abilene, Texas to Helen Olivarez. She lived in Big Spring, Texas as a small child but grew up and spent her teen years and early adult years in Madera, California and returned to Texas to raise her five boys and to be close to her brothers in 2004. Benita was a very hard worker, always willing to help out family and friends. She was the life of every party and family get-together, though usually the last one to show up, she always arrived with a smile on her face and ready to have a good time. Benita had a laugh that was undeniably contagious. She was a loving daughter, protective big sister, mom and aunt. She was a proud, caring, loving grandmother to her three grandchildren Amriss, Zander and Aiden all of Midland, Texas.

Benita is survived by her parents, Helen Olivarez Martinez and Pete Salas Martinez of Midland, Texas; her brother Pete Martinez, Jr. and wife April Martinez of Gardendale, Texas and brother, Robert Martinez also of Gardendale, Texas. She is also survived by her sons, Genaro Jacob Angelito Ayala of Midland, Texas, Anthony Ayala Martinez of Midland, Texas, Christopher Bueno Ayala of Lubbock, Texas, and Cesario Ray Ayala and Isaac Regino Ayala both of Midland, Texas. Benita is survived by her boyfriend, Gilbert Luna, Jr. of Odessa, Texas. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Benita is preceded in death by her grandparents, Maria Heredia Olivarez and Francisco Olivarez as well as Maria Delaluz Salas Martinez and Santos Sandoval Martinez.
