Barbara Olson Stanley, 74, of Big Spring, went to be with?her Lord Monday, October 17, 2005, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 20, 2005 at the 14th and Main Church of Christ with Rick Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Dickey and Cinda Stanley at 2301 Driver Road.Barbara?was born on February 27, 1931, in Del Rio, Texas and married Delbert Stanley on November 19, 1949 in Big Spring, Texas.She?came to Big Spring in 1936 with her family. She grew up here, graduated as valedictorian of the class of 1948 from Big Spring High School, and was inducted into the Big Spring Hall of Fame. Barbara had worked at Big Spring Hardware for eight years?and was a secretary twenty-two years for Cosden Oil and Chemical, retiring in 1978.?Mrs. Stanley?was a member of 14th and Main Church of Christ.?She was a member of the Signal Mountain Emmaus Community.Barbara was very active in Relay For Life and was a top fundraiser for over nine years. She was a member of the Women's Bowling League for many years.? Survivors include her husband, Delbert Stanley of Big Spring; one son and daughter-in-law, Dickey and Cinda Stanley of Big Spring; and one grandson and his wife, Logan and Courtney Stanley, of San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Lois Olson; her brother, Dalton Olson, and her granddaughter, Meagan Stanley.
