Barbara Elizabeth Haralson, our mother, my daughter, our grandmother, our sister, and our aunt, has gone home… and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalms 23 Barbara 54, of Midland passed away at her home on June 8, 2012. Funeral services have been scheduled for 3:00 pm on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Robert Pase, officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. She was born July 5, 1957 in Vandalia, IL, to John Thompson Horsley and Dorothy Jean Trosch. She moved to Midland with her family in 1970 where she spent most of her life. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1975. Barbara married and raised four children, who were her greatest joys and she was their cherished Mama.Survivors include 3 sons, John Haralson of Turpin, Oklahoma; Patrick Haralson (Jesse) of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and Matthew Haralson of Turpin, Oklahoma; one daughter, Rachael Lopez (Angel) of San Diego, California; 1 grandson, Ayden Lopez and 1 granddaughter, Mia Lopez of San Diego, California; mother, Dorothy Horsley of Midland; 3 sisters, Carol Massie of Midland; Diane Haralson of Lampasas; and Kathy McCown (Jeff) of Midland; 1 niece, Megan McCown; and 4 nephews, Keith Massie (Lydia); Jason Massie (Alyssa); Jeff Massie (Emily); and Kade McCown.She is preceded in death by her father, and also by her infant son, James Roy Haralson.We will miss her wonderful laughter, her smile and the way she loved and cared for each one of us and especially her children and grandchildren.
