Barbara was a gifted and disciplined Bible teacher. She touched and blessed my life with every Sunday School lesson. But I especially remember one statement she made that has impacted my life so much that I still remember it many years later. She said, "God's will is not a destination; it is a relationship." With that one sentence, she brought peace, purpose and understanding to an issue I had struggled with for a long, long time. My condolences to Barbara's family. I know you will all miss her deeply until you're reunited in Heaven. And what a day of rejoicing that will be! You are in my prayers.

Andy, your mom was a wonderful woman. She loved to talk and we loved listening to her stories. Each time we came to a birthday party for Andrew, I remember sitting with her and just letting her tell me some of the most fascinating stories. She always made me smile. Ken says that his best memories other than her stories were the rings that she had. He said that he always loved looking at her rings and listening to her stories about them. You were blessed to have her for a mother and she will be greatly missed. Love always, Ken, Robin, Alex and Casey

Mike and family, Barbara was a good friend and confident. When she was next door at Places and Pleasures we had lots of conversations. She was a good listener and prayed with me on numerous occasions. I missed her when Places and Pleasures closed. I enjoyed her teachings very much. I enjoyed occasionally going shopping with her and Nancy and have many fond memories. I know she is enjoying being with her Lord and Saviour and is probably already enjoying conversations with Him. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

I am so glad that the Lord provided me an opportunity to sit and visit with this wonderful woman, the dearest of all friends, and my former Sunday School teacher and mentor for two evenings just a couple of weeks ago. As I write this my eyes are filled with tears knowing how much Mike, Andy, Michelle, Andrew, Marc, Kristi, and McKenna and so many others who loved her are going to miss her, BUT those tears are also tears of joy knowing that she is no longer suffering and she now resides with her Lord and Savior that she worshipped daily in her sixty-six years on this earth. What a gifted TEACHER this woman was and what a mark she left on the lives of so many in her extra-ordinary ability to share God's word. Barbara, you entered heaven perhaps not knowing that you made a difference in my life in every moment that I spent with you and I only hope that I can be worthy of the love, attention, and time you generously gave to me and do for others what you always did for me. Thank you, Mike, Andy, and Marc for sharing your incredible wife and mother with me and others who benefitted from the time we spent with her. I loved her dearly and will miss her daily. Love, Carie

Barbara was such a sweet and beautiful lady. I learned so much from her in her sunday school class. Love to listen to her storys, she made them interesting and to where you understood. She loved telling everyone she could about the lord. I am sad that she is gone but happy that she is now in no pain and continuing her storys in heaven. She is finally with our lord who she lived each day for each day. God bless all of her family and know that you are all in my prayers. Love Angie Worley

I was so very sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. She will indeed be missed by all who knew her. I so enjoyed being in her Bible classes when I lived in Big Spring. I also enjoyed her wonderful sense of humor. My prayers are with Mike and their family. It is hard to understand why those we love are taken from us but we find comfort in knowing that she rests in the arms of Jesus our Lord. Kae Wise
