Barbara \Bobbie\ Hale Blissard, 77, of Big Spring, died Saturday, December 19, 2015 in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Monday, December 21, 2015 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. She was born September 25, 1938 in Forsan, Texas and was a lifelong resident of Howard County. She graduated from Big Spring High School in 1957 and graduated from Howard College with her LVN certificate. Bobbie worked at Cowper Hospital for five years, worked for Dr.'s Virgil and Nell Sanders for 15 years and at Martin County Hospital for five years before retiring in 2008. She was known as \Nanny\ and many considered her their second mother. She was a member of the Cowboy Church in Midland. Survivors include one son, Michael Blissard of Big Spring; one daughter, Patsy Langdon and husband, A. J..of Midland; six grandchildren, Ben Brody Blissard, Taylor Barnes Sims, Myka Leann Blissard, Aubree Fae Blissard, Betsy Repman and Chris, and Bryce Langdon and Megan; four great-grandchildren, Connor Repman, Cooper Repman, Channing Repman and Kel Gard; and one sister, Patsy Chapman of Baytown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Hale; three brothers; and one sister. The family suggests memorials to Home Hospice, 111 E. 7th St., Suite A, Big Spring, Texas 79720.
