Barbara Ann Greene-Lasater

Barbara Ann Greene-Lasater , 62, of Midland, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2004 in a local hospital. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 10:00 am at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland.Barbara attended Midland Schools and worked with the Boy Scouts of America. She was the president of PWP, Parents without Partners and held several state offices. She was an active member of TOPS. Barbara loved fishing in the Hill Country and was a supportive friend for many people undergoing cancer treatment. She was a loving mother to her children and many other children. Many came to her for advice, support, and care.Survivors include; four sons and two daughters in law, Joe Lasater of Big Spring, Lonnie Lasater of Midland, Paul and Candy Lasater of Midland, Robert and Tracy Lasater of San Angelo; one sister, Dorothy Freiley of Ruidoso, New Mexico, and two grandsons, seven grand daughters, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Margie Greene; one brother, Bob Greene; and one grandson, Billy Joe Lasater.The family suggests memorials be made to Allison Cancer Center, 301 North N St., Midland, TX 79701.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
