Ann Lee Semple, age 75, was born in Dennison, Texas on October 29, 1942 to Frank Bowers Semple and Mildred Crumpton Semple. She lived her early life in Swampscott, Massachusetts and graduated from high school there.  She attended Southeastern State University in Durant, Oklahoma.  After graduation she moved to Midland, Texas where she began her 37 year career with MISD as a 4th grade teacher at Henderson and Emerson elementary schools.Ann had a remarkable memory of the students she taught, and many would approach her as adults remembering her and saying that she was their favorite teacher.Ann loved to travel and had many wonderful trips to China and other European countries with many of her closest friends. She was involved with the Midland Community Theatre and was a long time member of “Hamhocks” and served “suds, popcorn and fun” to many of us for many years.Ann was pre-deceased by her Mother, Father and a brother, John C. Semple.She is survived by cousins Charles Semple and wife Margaret of Midland, Robert Semple and wife Ann of Fort Worth, Joe Crumpton of Grand Prairie, Billy Francis Robinson of Portland, Oregon, Janie Umstead and Susan Owen of Durant, Oklahoma, Laura Hider of Caddo, Oklahoma, Frank B. Semple of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Sara Brown of Denver, Colorado.Memorial services and inurnment will be held at Christ Church Anglican, 5501 N Midkiff Road in Midland, Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. I am just now finding this in December of 2025. I had Mrs. Semple in 4th grade at Henderson. This was the 1987/1988 school year. She was a great teacher, and I'll never forget her. I just now thought of her, and finding that she has passed on.
