Alma Carrillo, age 71, of Midland, Texas, passed away on August 2, 2025.
Alma was born on February 5, 1954, in Coyame, Chihuahua, Mexico to Juan and Amalia Alvarez. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud Memaw. For the past 21 years, she shared her life in marriage with her beloved husband, Juan Carrillo.
Alma had a deep and unwavering faith in God, which guided her joyful spirit and kind heart throughout her life. She was always smiling, always ready with a joke, and had a special way of lighting up any room she walked into. Alma had a generous soul and would do anything for anyone. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
She was the loving mother of three children: Oscar Gonzales Jr., Malissa Gonzales of Midland, and Lydia Juarez (married to Cesario Juarez) of Midland. Alma was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
Alma was always extra in the very best way she had to have her matching purse, shoes and dress, and she wore them all with confidence and flair. Her presence was unforgettable, and her sense of style was just one of the many ways she expressed her joy and individuality.
Alma is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved son, as well as her parents, Juan and Amalia Alvarez, and other loved ones who have gone before her. Though her absence leaves a deep void in our hearts, we take comfort knowing she is at peace and surrounded by love.
Viewing will be held from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 and 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Funeral Service will take place Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 10:00 am Iglesia Bautista Bethel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Alma will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on through the laughter, love, and faith she so freely shared.
