Allen Ray Dobbs, 57 of Midland Texas, passed away on December 25th, 2025. The family will be holding a private celebration of life on January 2nd, 2026.
Allen was born on July 24th, 1968, in Lancaster, California to Lloyd and Jo Ann Dobbs. Allen was raised in Taft, California and went to Taft Union High School. He was active in the student body playing football, baseball and marching with the school band – playing the trumpet. He spent many of his adult years living in Kansas and Oklahoma and worked for Advance Warning. He later moved to Midland, Texas to be closer to his family and has spent the last 10 years working loyally for Oilfield Solutions as a Lead Reactor Operator. He loved his family and friends very much. He always attended nieces’ and nephews’ sports, graduations, and other special events. He was their biggest fan. He loved to travel and go on family trips. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs – wearing his jersey every Sunday. He loved baseball, football and racing, and would watch it any chance he got. Allen had such a caring heart and always wanted to help anyone in need whether it was family, friends, or strangers.
Allen is survived by his mother Jo Ann Dobbs, his siblings Ann Pilkington, Anthony and Ariana Dobbs, Cheryl and Curtis McClellan, and Beverly and Joe Bennett. He cared deeply for his honorary daughter Addison Sherrod, grandson Parker Inman, his many many beloved nieces and nephews and Conner, his very chunky cat.
