Alicia Ann Buzbee, 59, lifetime resident of Big Spring, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024. No services will be held.

Alicia was born January 1, 1965 to parents Marian (Gilbert) and Charles Buzbee in Big Spring, Texas. She enjoyed riding horses, watching her daughter play softball, being a mom to others in the community and loved listening to 70’s and 80’s Classic Rock.

She is survived by her daughter Ashley Buzbee and parents Charles and Marian Buzbee, all of Big Spring, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives along with many friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother John Wesley Buzbee.

The family suggests memorials to CPS or local mental health organizations.

I am so sad to learn of Alicia's passing. I had so many good interactions with her over many years. I most enjoyed working with her at the State Hospital. She was a natural caring person with strength to share with the patients. Alicia was a unique soul. Most recently I always looked forward to seeing her at the Post Office and have missed her. Ashley, Charles and Marion, We're so sad to hear of Alicia’s passing. I remember her when I was running around the shop that Charles & Marion had for years. Charles & Mario taught my daddy so much about mechanical things for years. I always looked up to her! was always supporting Ashley in everything she did. I did not know Alicia well: I was a good friend of John's in high school and was at the Buzbee house only from time to time. I remember how, especially in his later years, John talked about how much he loved his sister, about how important she was—and you were—to him. So many years later, Alicia and John are finally together again. Mr. and Mrs. Buzbee, I can't imagine the grief you are experiencing—again—but I hope that, in time, you will be comforted by happy memories of Alicia and John...and I know that you will see them again some day in Heaven. May The Lord comfort you in this time of sadness.

I knew Alicia and John in High School and have fond memories of them both. My deepest condolences to the Buzbee family.

Prayers for the family of Alicia. I met her when she worked at BSSH years ago. I remember running into her not long ago when she was working at the post office and she still remembered me. We had a very good conversation catching up and I am very grateful I got to talk with her.
