Albert Richard Britz, 71, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. The family will be having a private memorial service.
Albert Richard Britz was born on April 29, 1952 in El Paso, Texas to Richard Fredrick Britz and Annabelle Maske Britz. At the age of 22, Albert Britz enlisted in the Army. He was the definition of a simple and uncomplicated man. He was truly grateful for the little things in life. He had great respect and love for his mother. He enjoyed being a father. When he became a grandfather, he jumped into his new role stating, “My job is to create spoiled grandchildren.”. This was a job he took seriously and was very successful in it. Often, cantankerous, he was still an honest, humble, generous man. Whether it be family, friends, or a stranger in need, he would offer his help.
He was loved and will forever be missed.
Albert Britz is preceded in death by his parents Richard Fredrick Britz and Annabelle Maske Britz, his brother George Britz, sisters Diane Dyer and Shirley Nichols and Nephew Adam Neal.
Albert Britz is survived by his son David Williams, daughter-in-law Crystal Williams, grandson Dylan Williams, granddaughter April Williams, brother Richard Glen Britz, niece Connie (Jack) Ingram and nephew Chuck (Dolores) Solley, 4 great nephews Nathan (Zoe) Boothe Growald, Zachary (Sierra) Booth, William Solley, and Seth Ingram, great niece Alexis Ingram, and three great great nephews Ezekial and Silas Booth and Otto Booth- Growald.
