Jimmy was born January 24, 1960, in Midland, Texas, to Preston and Anne Bowman.
Jim spent many years working as a truck driver, earning various professional driving certifications throughout his career. He also worked in construction and enjoyed using those skills to help restore homes. Jim was always willing to lend a hand and go out of his way to help others.
Jim was funny, outgoing, and always knew how to make people laugh and smile. He had a positive outlook on life and often reminded those around him, “There’s nothing you can’t do.” Whether he was playing pool, dancing, working on a home, or simply spending time with friends and family, Jim enjoyed life and the people he shared it with.
Jim shared 27 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Pat Bowman, whose memory remained close to his heart following her passing.
Jim is survived by his mother, Anne “Boots” Bowman; his sister, Ronda Miles and husband Brian; his brothers, John Bowman & Wife and Eddy Bowman & Wife; as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many friends who loved him.
Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pat Bowman, and his father, Preston Bowman.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the emergency response team and the staff of Midland Memorial Hospital for their quick response, compassionate care, and for doing everything they could for Jim. The family would also like to thank the many friends and family members who have supported them through this difficult time in countless ways. Your kindness, prayers, help, and love have meant more than words can express.
