Lola Belle Lamb

Lola Belle (Morris) Lamb, 91, of Big Spring was called home on Friday, November 7, 2025. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She will lie in-state from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM that same evening.

She was born on December 28, 1933, in Stanton, TX to Loyd C. and Myrtle (Willey) Morris. Lola married the love of her life, Marvin Lamb on February 17, 1952, in Big Spring, Texas.

She grew up on a farm in Stanton and graduated from Stanton High School. After high school, Lola lived in Lubbock and attended business school while working as a telephone operator. She met Marvin in Lubbock and they married and settled in Big Spring where they raised their two children. She and Marvin owned the Big Dipper donut shop and Lola was a devoted member of the Big Spring Prospectors Club for over 40 years.

She was well-known for the spinning wheel at the Gem and Mineral Show every year in which she worked all year long making creations for. She was a creative writer and won many awards for her newsletter writings. She won the hearts of her family with the handwritten letters and poems that she would include in all her gifts. She enjoyed reading, crafting, watching Hallmark movies during Christmas time, and vacationing with her family. She loved Jesus and her family the most.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Lamb and wife, Debbie of Lewisville; daughter, Donna Love and husband, Jack of Big Spring; four grandchildren, Josh Love and wife, Monique of Lubbock, James Love and wife, Kristen of Big Spring, Laci Burgess and husband, J. J. of Melbourne, Florida, and Jason Lamb and wife, Shelby of Gainesville; six great-grandchildren, Makayla Gorman and husband, Brodey, J. R. and Judd Lamb, and Jaxson and Tobin Burgess and Justen Love; two great-great-grandchildren, Blaine and Marleigh Gorman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Lola was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Marvin Lamb; parents, Loyd C. and Myrtle (Willey) Morris; sister, Laverne Maddox; and brother, Ray Kemper.
