With broken hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Grant Brown, age 19, of Midland, Texas. Grant was born on August 22, 2005, in Midland, and passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025.
Grant was the beloved son of Jeremiah and Erin Brown, who adored him beyond measure. He was a gentle, kind, and soft-spoken young man whose quiet strength and generous heart left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
From an early age, Grant displayed a remarkable imagination and a love for creative challenges. Grant was a natural athlete in his early years playing hockey. He especially enjoyed gaming and spending time immersed in strategy and connection. He had a gift for building intricate LEGO sets, often completing complex designs with patience, precision, and pride. These quiet, focused moments reflected who he was: thoughtful, creative, and full of quiet brilliance.
Grant had a deep love for his dogs, who were always by his side and brought him constant comfort and joy. He also knew the Bible well, and his faith was an important and grounding part of who he was. He loved sports and had a special place in his heart for the Carolina Panthers, just like his Poppi, a bond they proudly shared.
Grant is survived by his loving parents, Jeremiah and Erin Brown; his grandparents Beaver (Poppi) and Cheryl Brown (Gigi), Patrick (Papa) and Debbie Blakeley, Phil and Julie Shivers (Ma), and great-grandmother Mary Snyder (Mimi); his aunts and uncles, Zachary and Kristen Brown, Luke and Megan Brown, Alex and Chris Rivera, Patrick Blakeley; his great-uncles, Paul and Robert Snyder; and his great-aunt, Nancy Snyder. He is also survived by many cousins, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
Grant was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Delbert & Willowdeen Dickenson, Nathaniel & Winnet Brown, and great grandparent Bob Snyder, Pete and Sylvia Blakeley; his great-uncle Mike Blakeley, and uncle Hoot and many more who now welcome him with open arms.
Though his time on earth was far too short, the love Grant gave and the light he shared will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
