Marie was born on June 16th, 1937, in Galena, Kansas to David and Isobel Warren. She moved from Galena to Skamania, Washington as a child. Her family moved from there to Kent, Washington where she graduated from Kent Meridian High School. Marie moved to Sacramento, CA after high school where she met the love of her life Robert (Bob) Baird, and they were married on December 7, 1967. Marie worked for the state of California as an Administrative Clerk (secretary), and later retired from that position, at which time her and her husband moved to Big Spring, Texas to be closer to their daughter, her husband, Robyn and Keith Torbik, and their grandchildren.
Marie is survived by three sisters: Sheryll Compton, Carolyn Young, and Rebecca Fulton. Six children with their spouses; Jeri Engleman, Mary Franklin, Sam and Naomi Fackrell, John Fackrell, Lisa Fackrell, and Robyn and Keith Torbik, along with a brother and sister-in-law.
Marie who was a Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Aunt, and is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren, and many Nephews and Nieces, all of whom loved her, as she loved them.

Marie attended Sand Springs Baptist Church, and the family would like to extend their appreciation toward the church which she considered family and loved dearly. Special thanks to Pastor Courtney and his wife Kelli Ballard, who were more than friends, being trusted advisors, and were looked to for guidance and encouragement. She loved all her church family at Sand Springs Baptist Church.
Special recognition: In moms’ final years she lived next door to her son-in-law and daughter who cared for her and took care of her with love and compassion, often going to great lengths to meet her needs. She also had two special Grandkids Jessica and Jacki, along with three “Great” grandkids Athena, Alli, and Rori who loved her and brought much joy into her life. A special and loving thank you Keith and Robyn for all your love and caring that you gave willingly and unselfishly.
