I loved me some "Uncle Bubba". Just because he found me in in mama's flower bed with dirt dripping from the corners of my mouth, I was called "mud eater" from age 2 to 72. He had a heart of gold. He took time with all 10 of my siblings and we couldn't wait for him to come to Waco. Granddaddy David & Grandmother Etta had great genes. Each and every one of their children are more precious than gold. He will be truly missed.

“No one is actually dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away” ~ Terry Pratchett I have very fond memories of visiting Uncle Bubba..i.e [ Carlee ]  and Aunt Mary Ethel at their home as a child.  It was always a place of kindness and love.    Throughout all of the years, he has always maintained his welcoming, joyful, and engaging nature. He was such a special and endearing soul.   Dad and all of us will miss his presence in this world, but know that his spirit is eternal and will never die.    With appreciation and gratitude, may I add the following quotes in memory of dear Uncle Bubba: “The man is a success who has lived well, loved much, and laughed often”  ~ Robert Louis Stevenson “Death is no more than passing from one room into another. But there’s a difference for me, you know. Because in that other room I shall be able to see.” ~ Helen Keller May God Bless his Eternal Soul
