James Michael “Mikey” Butts

Michael “Mikey” Butts, 25 of Midland, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel.

Michael was born on January 20, 1998 in Bluffton, Indiana to Brian Butts and Melinda Johnson. He spent some of his childhood in Huntington, Indiana. Michael went to Greenwood High School. He loved playing acoustic guitar. He worked for Main Events for the last three years.

Michael is survived by his dad, Brian Butts; stepmom, Lori Butts; mother, Melinda Johnson; sisters, MacKenzie Butts, Cheyanne Pryor; brothers, Coleton Pryor, Sean Pryor; also survived by, his grandfather, Jim Butts and wife Connie; aunt, Tammey Butts; cousin, Alyssa Wilburn and her family; aunt, Heather Kaylor and uncle, Bruce Kaylor; cousins,  David Kaylor, Rochelle Symons (Kaylor), Brenden, Brayden, Brookelin Kaylor; girlfriend, Kimi Connely and her daughter Lianna Rose; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Jean Butts and Linda Kaylor; uncle, Andy Kaylor.

The family would like to express their gratitude towards Midland Drug Court, Judge Elizabeth Reiney and John Reece. We would also like to thank the staff of The City of Midland for always being so helpful. The family would also like to thank our family and friends that helped him along the way, he loved you all dearly.
