Mikel Devin Foster, 49, of Midland, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Rosary will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 7:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 1:00PM at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church.
Mikel was born on November 16, 1973, to Kim and Billy Foster in Artesia, New Mexico. Mikel loved the Lord. He became Catholic on June 20, 2020, which was life-changing for him. He treasured, loved, and was proud of his 6 sons. He gave of himself throughout his life with a smile and personality that could melt hearts. He was a chef, a self-taught carpenter, mechanic, and business owner. He loved animals, especially Lilly his dog. He was an avid mini-bike enthusiast; and he loved the connections and friends that he made doing his favorite hobby. He wanted to be outdoors moving. He was a fisherman. Mikel was a caregiver and a good friend to many. He loved his family, and we will feel his absence in our hearts forever. His favorite quote was, “Remember to be kind.”
He is survived by his parents Billy and Kim Foster of Midland, John Foster of Denver, Colorado, Jennifer Foster, Columbus, Ohio, Alex Foster of Karny, Missouri, Zackery Foster of Midland, Devin, Ever, Briten, and Justin Foster of Riverside, California, Kristi, Mackenzie, and Dylan Downs of Bonham, Texas and Jerry Blackerby of Wichita, Kansas.
He is preceded in death by Bill and Irene Nauerth of Waynoka, Oklahoma, Bernadine and Harry Thomas of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Marc Thomas of Belen, New Mexico, and Patsy Bavousett of Pottsboro, TX.
