Dennis “Papa” Snedegar of Midland, entered the gates of heaven on Monday, October 18, 2021. Dennis was born September 17, 1954 in Odessa, to Bobby and Joyce Snedegar. Dennis loved to fly and received his pilot’s license at only 16 years of age. He was very dedicated to the Civil Air Patrol and continued to fly on and off, for business and pleasure, for the rest of his life. He worked in IT for the State of Texas and was the family’s go to expert for all IT emergencies. He loved his wife, family, and friends, but his greatest love of all was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Patricia Snedegar; daughter Jenifer Woods, stepdaughter Leesha Seidel (Husband Shawn Seidel), and stepson Kenneth Ligon (Wife Candace Ligon); his beloved grandchildren, Sarrah Woods, Reuben Woods, Branham Ligon, Laney Ligon, Kammie Box, and Makenzie Seidel; his brother Mark Snedegar and Sister Cathy Snedegar; cousin Donald Daughtry, and many extended family members who loved him dearly.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Bobby and Joyce Snedegar.
The family will be holding a private celebration of life. “Soaring on eagle’s wings, until we meet again my love.” Oh what a day it will be when my Jesus comes for me.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards the many friends, coworkers, and church families that have supported them through prayers and many acts of kindness.
Dennis was looking forward to attending Bible College in January, as ministry was his heart’s desire. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Charis Bible College in Woodland Park, CO.
