Edwin Odis Ware

Edwin Odis Ware, 88, passed away on September 29, 2021. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Visitation will be Friday, October 1st from 6:00 pm -8:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.
Edwin was born on October 5, 1932 in Midland, TX, to Elva and Earlie Ware. He started school early by following his sister. He graduated from Prarie Lee High School in 1949 at the age of 16. He moved to Lubbock to attend business school and attended a Baptist church where he taught Sunday School and where he eventually met the love of his life, Anita. They married June 17, 1954 in Lubbock and then moved to Midland where they begin their family. They had Becky, Eddie and Stacy there before moving to Dallas, TX where Earl was born. They were living in Kerrville when his wife, Anita, passed and was laid to rest in January of 1994. In the mid-1990s he moved to Big Spring where he never met a stranger. He either introduced himself as Ed Ware or Sam Henry Jones Esq. LTD from Mullshoe, TX. He has worked for car dealerships all his life and retired from Bob Brock Ford when it was sold. He was a cowboy, you could always find him in his boots, bolo tie, and cowboy hat with a smile. He was a part of the Sheriff’s Posse and an annual Rodeo patron. He was a board member of the Big Spring Housing authority. He never drank unless he was alone or with somebody.

He is survived by Eugene Bryant his cousin/brother, four children Rebecca L. Bianchi of Sherman, TX; Edwin L. Ware and his wife, Nora, of Azle, TX; Stacy E. Ware of Big Spring, TX and Earlie D. Ware and his wife, Christiana, of Cleburne, TX. He was a proud grandfather of 12 Grandchildren Anna, Jennifer, Mark II, Katherine, Cassandra, Christopher, Joshua, Anita, David, Michael, Stewart,and Kayleigh; 20 great grandkids and a great great grand baby on the way.
He is preceded in death by his parents Earlie and Elva Ware.
