Frederick Scott Richardson, 63, of Midland, TX passed away on August 7, 2021.

Frederick, “Scotty”, was born May 23, 1958 to Frederick Joyce and Betty Jo Richardson in Midland, TX where he grew up and lived with his family and friends. As a child, Scotty enjoyed listening to music, hunting & fishing and playing baseball. He was very good at baseball and always talked about the games. Scotty was baptized at Wilshire Park Baptist Church at age 10. He graduated from Lee High School and went on to work in the chemical industry of the oilfield. He was an avid sports fan, especially football. His favorite team was Alabama “Roll Tide”. He often traveled to Ruidoso, NM with Rebecca and Cheyne for a weekend getaway. He loved holidays and the delicious meals his mother cooked would make him smile!

Scotty is survived by his wife Rebecca Richardson, his son Cheyne Ausley, father Frederick Richardson, sisters Shelia Claiborne and Sharla Kratky and their families. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jo Richardson and both paternal and maternal grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at a future time.

I grew up with Scotty I am proud to call him my Friend We played little league together, spent nights at each others houses, went to school together and got in a whole lot of trouble together. I think of him often. I remember the mud bowl football games we would have behind Burnet Elementary when it would rain, dipping snuff at the Howard Hodge Theater until we would turn green, and crawling through the via ducts under highway 80 and collecting pigeons from the billboards all over the West side of Midland. Some of the best times of my child hood were spent with Scotty, Brian Webb, Greg Shelton, Craig Edwards and so many others growing up. I will miss you my friend but see you again in heaven.
