Larry Allen Stapp passed away peacefully at home on July 6, 2021. He was born on September 14, 1947, to Norman and Evelyn Stapp. On November 21, 1967, he married Frances Newton. He received his certificate of public accountancy when he was 22 and practiced for 51 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Midland.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his parents-in-law, Lehman and Frances Newton. He is survived by his wife, his daughters and sons-in-law, Stacey and J. C. Cornett and Brandy and Jim Tirey, and his seven grandchildren, Addison and Jace Roberson, Andrew Cornett, Grayson and Michaela Tirey, Sawyer Tirey, and Graham Tirey. He is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Chuck Anderle, as well as many brothers- and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews: Steve and Sue Van Hoozer; Newt and Banay Newton; Bob and Kim Newton; Emily and Jason Bush, and Caleb and Leah; Phil and Sarah Newton, and Lucy; Brad and Tara Newton, Lainey and Annie; Kevin and Paige Newton, Jack and Cole; Jeff Newton; Adam and Stefani Newton; Maggie Newton; Kimberlee and Shawn Hughett; Tiffany and Toby Stewart; Taelynn Randolph; Tyleigh Young; Tessa Stewart; Teegun Stewart; and Ariel and Brenton Bowers, Aubrelyn and Evelyn.
A memorial service will take place at 10:00 am on Monday, July, 12, 2021 at First United Methodist Sanctuary in Midland. The family requests that memorials be made to First United Methodist Church of Midland or the charity of your choice.
