Bertha Gloria Hernandez, 67 of Midland, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 surrounded by her family. Rosary will be recited at 2:00pm, Friday, July 2, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1401 Garden Lane, Midland, Texas 79701. The memorial mass will follow the rosary at 3:00pm.
Gloria was born on December 14, 1953 in Chihuahua, Mexico to William E. and Paula Carroll. She enjoyed taking care of those who loved her, whether that be cooking (which was the best) or providing support to those around her. Everyone who knew her, loved her and called her their “mom”. She will be missed by many.
Gloria never met anyone that she didn’t welcome with open arms. You walked into her home and she had open arms no matter what! She loved without knowing what or where you came from. Her love was a big hug without question! You knew when you walked in, you were safe and loved. Because of her love, she changed so many lives and that is what made Gloria, and that is what we love about her.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Rey Hernandez; children, Jason R. Hernandez and wife, Angelina, and their four children, Jaiangelo, Andrew, Ava and Isaac; Micheal R. Hernandez; and MeShell R. Hernandez and her son, Mavan R. Hernandez.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Paula Carroll, and grandparents, Tilghman and Mary Carroll.
