Aurelio (Shorty) Robles Aguilar, 80, de Big Lake, Texas, fue a estar con nuestro padre celestial el 15 de mayo de 2021. Nació el 21 de enero de 1941 a Ricardo Siller Aguilar y Dominga Robles Aguilar en Cristales, Coahuila, México. A principios de la década de 1970, Shorty trabajó como ranchero en Sweetwater, Texas, antes de mudar a su familia a Big Lake, Texas. En Big Lake, trabajó para Triple “G” Roustabout Services y Compadre Roustabout Services durante varios años hasta que se jubiló a principios de la década de 2000. Sin embargo, la jubilación nunca lo detuvo; a menudo lo encontraría en el parque del condado de Reagan recogiendo sus nueces o en el Kent local comprando sus rascadores de lotería. Ocho nietos; Alicia Vargas Márquez y su esposo Marc de Midland, Leonel Ramirez y su esposa Vanessa de Lubbock, Steven Vargas, Mavarick Ramirez, Kristen Vargas Bowers y su esposo Josh, Maritza Ramirez, Leandro Ramirez y Levan Aguilar, todos de Midland. Ocho bisnietos; Isabella Marquez, Sofia Marquez, Harper Bowers, Liliana Ramirez, Hayden Bowers, Maddox Marquez, Alex Marquez y Valentina Ramirez. Cuatro hermanos; Armando, Arnulfo, Raymundo (Pee Wee) y Ramiro Aguilar. Así como numerosos primos, sobrinas y sobrinos.
Le anteceden en la muerte sus padres Ricardo Siller Aguilar y Dominga Robles Aguilar; sus dos hermanos Ricardo y Rodrigo Aguilar; y sus tres hermanas Herlinda Ramirez, Oralia Barrera y Josefa Aguilar.

Aurelio (Shorty) Robles Aguilar, 80, of Big Lake, Texas, went to be with our heavenly father on May 15th, 2021. He was born January 21, 1941 to Ricardo Siller Aguilar and Dominga Robles Aguilar in Cristales, Coahuila, Mexico. In the early 1970s, Shorty worked as a rancher in Sweetwater, Texas, before moving his family to Big Lake, Texas. In Big Lake, he worked for Triple “G” Roustabout Services and Compadre Roustabout Services for several years until he retired in the early 2000s. However, retirement never slowed him down; you would often find him down at the Reagan County Park collecting his pecans or down at the local Kent buying his lotto scratchers. He loved to travel to Las Vegas to gamble and to watch some of his favorite boxers such as Mayweather, Canelo and Pacquiao. He often spent time traveling back to his hometown, La Muralla, Mexico, to spend time with family and friends. His joy in life was to provide for his family and live life to the fullest.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Otilia Hernandez de Aguilar of Big Lake, Texas. His three daughters, Leonor Aguilar Vargas and husband Ray of Midland, Blanca Aguilar of San Angelo, Irene Aguilar Ramirez and husband Joel, and one son, Aurelio Aguilar Jr., and wife Blanca (Tia J), all from Midland. Eight Grandchildren; Alicia Vargas Marquez and husband Marc of Midland, Leonel Ramirez and wife Vanessa of Lubbock, Steven Vargas, Mavarick Ramirez, Kristen Vargas Bowers, and husband Josh, Maritza Ramirez, Leandro Ramirez, and Levan Aguilar, all of Midland. Eight Great-Grandchildren; Isabella Marquez, Sofia Marquez, Harper Bowers, Liliana Ramirez, Hayden Bowers, Maddox Marquez, Alex Marquez, and Valentina Ramirez. Four brothers; Armando, Arnulfo, Raymundo (Pee Wee), and Ramiro Aguilar. As well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ricardo Siller Aguilar and Dominga Robles Aguilar; his two brothers Ricardo and Rodrigo Aguilar; and his three sisters Herlinda Ramirez, Oralia Barrera and Josefa Aguilar.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Midland Memorial Hospital staff and MCH ContinueCare staff in Odessa.
