Susan Kay Smyth

Susan Kay Smyth, 41, of Midland Texas, passed away on May 4, 2021 in Lubbock Texas.

Funeral services will be held 12-2 on May 22, 2021 at the Branch next door to Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home.

Susan, the daughter of Mark and Vickie Smyth, was born in Andrews, TX on June 9, 1979. She was a 1998 graduate of Midland High School. She was previously married and had two children: Andrea Maylene Rodriquez and Mark Andrew Rodriquez. She worked for TLR Hose & Supply and Sendero Sales & Rentals where they became family to her. She enjoyed life to the fullest through simple pleasures, drawing and painting. Susan was always happy and had the brightest smile. She loved being around dogs.

Susan is preceded in death by her Grandparents; Doris Smyth, Gerald Smyth and Charlie Vaught; and her Aunt Cindy Wilson

Susan is survived by her children Andrea Maylene Rodriquez and Mark Andrew Rodriquez, her sisters Becky Beadle, Mary Miller, and Heather Lothes, her parents Mark and Vickie Smyth, her grandson Myles Lee Maner, her grandmother Mary Vaught, her fiancé Anthony Paredes,  and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, & nephews.

The family of Susan Smyth wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at Midland Memorial Hospital, the staff at UMC of Lubbock, TLR Hose & Supply and Sendero Sales & Rentals, RN Case Manager Cathryn Witt at Midland Memorial Hospital, and to the many friends that have helped in this time of sorrow.
