Nona B. Templeton

Nona B. Templeton, 91, of Big Spring passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 18, 2021, surrounded by family. She will lie in state from 8:30 am until 9:00 pm, Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Trinity Memorial Park.
Nona was born on May 7, 1929, in Oklahoma City, OK. to Lorenzo and Fannie Gertrude Pollock Kelly. She met the love of her life, Richard A. Templeton, whom she married in 1950. They moved to Big Spring in 1951 from Lubbock, TX. Nona was a housewife who enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Templeton; her grandson, Richard Lee Townsend Jr.; granddaughter, Deitra K. Templeton; her parents; and 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana S. Townsend, (husband Richard) of Yantis TX, a son Richard D. Templeton (wife Debbie) of Richlands NC. Her grandchildren include Darenda Rangel of Grapevine TX, DeAnna Bradley of Jacksonville NC, Amy Whitley of Van Alstyne TX, Bryan Townsend of Ripon, CA, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
