She spent several memorable years in Ferris, Oklahoma. After several moves for Granddaddy’s work, the family settled in Midland in 1949. She attended Midland High School and shortly after she met the love of her life, Bobby Stovall. She loved watching her grandkid’s baseball and football games, choir concerts and Jessica’s dance recitals, playing dress-up (even with the boys). She really enjoyed special times with Dad and the family. She loved her sister Sally and their special outings. She was also a very talented seamstress. The best words to describe Mom are passion and love. She had such passion and love for the things she believed in, most notably her boys and her husband.Jackie had a special place in her heart for the underprivileged. You never knew who would be at Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.Jackie was a strong Christian woman and raised her boys attending South Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. and Velma Stovall. She always enjoyed teaching Vacation Bible School.Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Johnny Hill. She leaves to cherish and continue her legacy of love for her family, her husband of almost 59 years, Bobby (thanks Dad for taking such good care of Mom).
