Raul Guerra, 85, of Big Spring, died Friday, January 26, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Herb McPherson officiation. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.

He was born April 18, 1932 in Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico and married Beatrice Chapa March 8, 1952 in Mexico. She preceded him in death May 8, 2000.

Raul worked for the Highway Department in Glasscock County, retiring with 26 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was a member of the Le Fe Iglesia Bautista where he had pastored at one time. He also pastored a church in Garden City and had held Bible studies at Primera Iglesia Bautista.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Jimenez and Sarah Guerra both of Big Spring, and Barbara Martinez of Lamesa; two sons, Rudy Guerra and wife, Nina of El Paso and Raul Guerra, Jr. and wife, Mary Jo of Coahoma; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons; and a great-grandson.
