Procession escorted by Luiz “Cadillac” Natividad.Roman Garza Leyba was born on June 27, 1969 in Odessa, Texas to Evangelina Garza and Ramon Leyba.Roman met the love of his life, Rosemary, 16 years ago and they shared their love by tying the knot in the presence of friends and family on April 5, 2015. He was a part of many local car clubs and loved his church, Elevate. He was passionate about our Lord and Savior. Roman was very caring and compassionate about his beliefs. Roman loved children and impacted their lives as if he was their dad. He was loved by everyone that he met, his personality was one of a kind. Roman will always be remembered for his unselfishness and will to follow and lead his friends and family to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.Roman is preceded in death by his cousins, Priscilla Mungia and “Vivi” Salomon; aunt, Tomasita Ortega; and uncle, Lisandro Garza.Although Roman Leyba has departed from his twin brother, Ramon Leyba, Jr., the bond of a twin will not dissipate. Until we join arms together again, my brother, I will deeply miss you and carry you in my heart.Roman is survived by his wife, Rosemary Reyes-Leyba; parents, Ramon Leyba, Sr and Evangelina Garza; brothers, Ramon Leyba, Jr and wife Debra, Robert Leyba and wife Roxie, and Ray Leyba; sister, Evelyn Leyba; son, Ryan Leyba; daughter, Bri Leyba-Perez and husband Antonio; daughter, Valerie Overton and husband Ryan; son, David Valverde, Jr. and wife Brianna; grandchildren, Nevaeh Overton, Ryan Overton, Zavien Valverde, Layla Salmon, Mikah Garcia, Aubree Hernandez, Amri Overton, and Daven Valverde; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.The family would like to express their gratitude towards the community for their outpouring love, support, prayers and food that has been dropped by.
